Align Symmetrical Parts by Balancing Deviations

A part that is symmetrical can be aligned by using features that describe a center line. If the part has no such features, it is also possible to align the part using an imaginary symmetry line that is exactly derived by obtaining equal deviations on opposing sides of the part.

In just 15 minutes, you will learn how to:

  • build a Reference Target alignment that balances deviations in symmetrical areas;
  • use different measurement objects to obtain the derived symmetry line;
  • apply the alignment to data acquired using high-density point cloud scanning or single-point probing.
